General Info
-
Right now I am not accepting customs, and only tattoo flash designs and face freckles.
-
Flash designs are all repeatable (usually around 3 times).
-
I can tattoo in color, including white and brown.
-
Touch-ups are always free. Please reach out if you would like a touch-up.
-
Please reserve at least 3 hours for our appointment.
-
My studio is up a flight of stairs. If you have mobility limitations please mention that in your booking request. I’m happy to use an alternate accessible space or I can do a house-call appointment.
FRECKLES
-
I tattoo natural face freckles on all skin tones with varied shades of brown ink.
-
Freckles cost anywhere from $150-200 based on the amount of freckles tattooed, and require the same booking process and deposit as flash.
-
I draw on a loose stencil based on desired density, area, and size, but the process is more freehand based.
-
I am always open to multiple sessions, starting sparse, seeing how they heal, and then darkening or adding more.
-
Freckles appear very swollen and red when initially tattooed, and then will appear very dark for the first week. They may scab over and will finally fade after they are healed. Freckle tattoos continue to fade and last anywhere from 2-10 years based on sun exposure and moisturization.
PREPARATION/AFTERCARE
-
Face masks are required at appointments
-
Please bring a mask, water bottle, and maybe a snack!
-
You can also bring books, crosswords, or earbuds as I can’t chat too much while tattooing (it always takes longer), so bring stuff to keep yourself entertained!
-
Keep the area (or possible areas) we will be tattooing moisturized and out of the sun leading up to our appointment.
-
Please alert me to any allergies you have to products in your booking request. I use vaseline, castile soap, and bactine when tattooing.
-
I do not use saniderm, ‘second skin’, or a plastic barrier bandage on tattoos unless requested by client. My handpoke tattoos are not super traumatizing to the skin and don't usually need saniderm to keep them protected from fall-out or infection. Many people are allergic to saniderm and it can sometimes irritate tattoos more when it is peeled off. Fresh tattoos will be sanitized with bactine and covered with a protective layer of vaseline at the end of the appointment. I have never had any cases of infection during my tattoo practice disclosed to me.
-
Tattoos will ‘settle’ within 48-72 hours. The swelling will go down, the ink will darken, and the tattoo will be much more visible. This is a great time to get settled pictures! Tattoos will then begin to heal, will sometimes scab over, become dry and possibly itchy, and will usually completely heal within 2-3 weeks.
-
Please do not swim for at least 1 week after getting tattooed.
-
Moisturize your tattoo morning, night, and after showers with either Vaseline or Aquaphor. Do not itch your tattoo, moisturize it and/or slap it instead!
-
Keep your tattoo completely out of the sun until healed (2 weeks) and then cover with sunscreen thereafter.
-
Tattoos will continue to heal forever. The more your tattoo is exposed to the sun, the more either faded or blurry it will become. Our body and skin changes and morphs along with our tattoos over time. Old, faded, stretched tattoos look rad! Just please don’t get repeated sunburns.
